from Latin to Chinese

It’s part of the Abebooks’ 10th anniversary activities at here. E-cards and wallpapers are presented for books never exit and the nonsense is conveyed by their titles, as: “Whoops. I Was Wrong, G. W. Bush”.

One point that attracted me so much are the absurd ideas and delicate designs which compose enough contradictory tension, wildly amazing!

I am currently using this wallpaper about “Making Marriage Work, Henry VIII”.

The owner of incorporated subversion is holding a funny game here that who get the closest try on time of the 10,000th edublog creation will be rewarded. My guess is June 1st the childrens’day at 01:07 as right now my openned wheelock’s latin textbook is on page 107.

To begin is always hard, this is true no matter what is related – a career, a blog, a post or a single sentence. But one simple exception is there -

To begin a venture.

Because a venture always depends on passion, uncertainty, and risk. Risk comes along with uncertainty, uncertainty is the indispensable room for venture, and passion is the fountain of strength to move on. Therefore a venture is palatable to taste, but bitter to bite and swallow.

Translating Latin into Chinese is such a venture. Little is wisdom I own for this purpose, few are people I meet in my course, formidable is hardship I shall take, and dim is perspective I will succeed.

But hearken, and behold ye, am I not a happy man? Am I not a satisfied and naked human, with the blessed comfort that my sinful life that otherwise useless is being purified, condensed, distiled and crystallized into a tiny piece of existence, shining by reflecting the enlightenment of human and the glory of Holy Spirit?

May this humble blog be a facet of my life, and truly bring me the enjoyment of friendship, the pleasure of discussion and the edification of tutorial. I would like to talk anything about translation, no matter from Latin or English, as they are equally necessary to, though not equally omitted by my fellow countrymen.

So far so lonely I am, and now it shall be a moment for conclusion.
